ABOUT FUEL
The income disparity between Black and White Americans is a persistent issue – and one that has been worsening over time. According to data from the Pew Research Center, a nonpartisan Washington, D.C.-based think tank, the difference in median household incomes between White and Black Americans has widened from about $23,800 in 1970 to approximately $33,000 in 2018. This inequality contributes to other disparities affecting Black communities – healthcare, education, technology, and employment, among others.
The 3rd Annual FUEL: The Ultimate Black Men’s Summit – Virtual, will gather thought leaders across the public and private sectors to examine paradigm-shifting solutions to this economic crisis. With the theme, “Building a Pathway for Economic Equity,” the Summit will identify strategies to advance Black professionals and entrepreneurs and leverage their economic impact to help close the income gap and create income parity.
